Empresa Júnior ou simplesmente EJ, consiste em uma associação sem fins lucrativos formada por alunos do ensino superior, contando com a orientação de um professor na respectiva área do conhecimento, executando projetos e serviços que possam contribuir na capacitação de profissionais para o mercado de trabalho.
Geralmente, as empresas trabalham com elaboração de projetos de consultoria na área de formação dos alunos, permitindo-lhes exercitar seu lado empreendedor e pesquisador, elaborando novas ideias, contribuindo para resolução de problemas e atendendo demandas de micro e pequenas empresas.
Quais são as vantagens de participar de uma EJ? As empresas propiciam que os alunos aprendam a lidar com situações práticas do mercado de trabalho, possam conviver com pessoas em um ambiente organizacional e realizar networking com diversos empresários, incentivando a inovação e o empreendedorismo.
Recentemente, foi sancionada a Lei n. 13.267, que disciplina a criação e a organização das EJ’s em Instituições do Ensino Superior, demonstrando a preocupação cada vez maior em se ter ambientes como esses dentro das Universidades, fomentando o espírito empreendedor e promovendo um maior desenvolvimento técnico e profissional dos estudantes.
Com o grande crescimento desses ambientes, existem hoje organizações como o MEJ – Movimento Empresa Júnior – que reúne integrantes das empresas juniores em diversos países, representado aqui pela Brasil Júnior, a Confederação Brasileira de Empresas Juniores, que visa incentivar e dar suporte às EJ’s brasileiras.
Descendo ainda a nível estadual, temos a FEJESC, a Federação de Empresas Juniores do Estado de Santa Catarina, sendo representante da Brasil Júnior perante a comunidade catarinense.
Santa Catarina conta com aproximadamente 40 empresas juniores espalhadas nas diversas universidades do Estado, sendo que 22 estão federadas ao FEJESC. Só na UFSC, temos 23 empresas juniores das mais diversas áreas, sendo 15 atualmente federadas.
