Logo, os principais ideais do projeto 22@barcelona consistem em criar uma nova perspectiva sob o local, fato que tornou Poblenou em um bairro produtivo e inovador com espaços estrategicamente modernos para:
- Implantação de empresas de inovações científicas e tecnológicas;
- Instalação de universidades e centros de educação continuada e profissional para garantir a formação de talentos locais e na atração de talentos internacionais;
- Criação de incubadoras para fomentar startups;
- Construção de residências para profissionais;
- Criação de espaços para a exibição e a difusão da inovação gerada.
Diante desta base teórica, podemos dizer que o 22@barcelona é considerado o projeto mais importante de transformação urbana da cidade de Barcelona nos últimos anos e um dos mais ambiciosos da Europa, com alto potencial imobiliário e renovação total das infraestruturas públicas do local. Vale a pena fazer um tour de bike (mobilidade muito usada por lá) para conhecer atrações como, a Torre Agbar – atualmente o terceiro edifício mais alto de Barcelona, o Parc Diagonal Mar – situado em uma zona completamente reabilitada e que deu origem a uma face contemporânea de Barcelona.
